Why Youth is so inspired by the Western Culture

Culture may be referred as the behavior, assumptions and the tendency of the particular society or the social and ethnic age group. The culture of Pakistan is diversiform. The reason for the diversiform of Pakistani culture is that in older days the Pakistan culture had been permeates by many other cultures of the world. Our food, our dresses, our social and religious customs, our prayers our religion almost each everything of culture is different from other cultures. The main purpose for the establishment of our country is to make state which is peaceful and the people in there are free to perform their prayers according to their religious peacefully. But now everything is getting changed. Our culture is dooming and the western culture is taking its place. In this modern age the increase in globalization has increased the influenced of Western culture on Pakistan culture. The youth of Pakistan is adopting the culture of western countries briskly.

The youth of Pakistan is forgetting its values and beliefs and adopt the customs and values of western civilization. Alcohol, cigarettes and drugs are very common among the youth. The youth of our nation do not feel proud in speaking their native language. Instead of speaking the native language they feel proud in speaking the western countries language. Our youth gave preference to wear western dresses. In high societies youth feel ashamed to wear Pakistani dresses. They don’t think that whatever they are wearing is match with our values and customs or not. They only have the hurry to adopt fashion.

On the other hand our religious festivals are losing their charm and importance as well. The festival of Eid is losing its importance among our young generation. They have no excitement for this festival. The youth takes no interest in the preparations and celebration of this Islamic festival. Now the western culture replacing the Pakistani culture and attracts the youth with a great enthusiasm.

There may be two reasons that why our youth is getting so much influenced by the Western culture. The major reason is the unawareness of youth with the Islamic beliefs and values. Media is playing a vital role in destroying the personalities of our generation. Young generation follows whatever they watch on television. They don’t care whether it is good or bad for them. This is an alarming situation of our country.
