Pakistani universities in the world

According to the structure of Pakistan, it is the State's responsibility to provide free primary education. At the time of liberation Pakistan had only one university, the University of the Punjab, founded in 1882 in Lahore. Pakistan is now more than 132 universities of which 73 are public universities and 59 private universities.

According to the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan, a senior official of the federal public universities is to increase the level of education in the world ranking of HEC and all university degree awarding institutions of academic standards and the quality of research has made significant progress in improving the country, including the University of the Federal Government. There are four accredited parliamentary Commission for Higher Education was established in the country to monitor the quality of education. Quality assessment and certification has been introduced to create and implement strict quality standards, FBISE Matric Result 2013 access to the international standard-setting procedures and performance level.
